Vintage film has always been a great source of inspiration. With a combination of striking black and white visuals and Art Deco styling you can always count on some great eye-candy whether you’re watching a film noir, romantic melodrama, crime caper or space adventure.

And i’ll always look forward to the beginning and end titles. Mini-masterpieces of abstract art, they invoke the cinematic tone of the period perfectly and are the inspiration behind our new set of customizable backgrounds and frames ‘A Night at the Movies‘. A collection of 8 design in this classic style, available in fully editable vector and layered Photoshop format enabling you to become the star of your own film noir.

In the process of developing this set I thought it would be great to see how these looked when applied to modern movies, choosing The Wolf of Wall Street, Blue Jasmine, X-men and RoboCop among others. I love how these look and in this post i’ll show you how can create your own.
